  • Are people leaving Christianity for a “new” truth?
  • Does science keep piercing the truth of every religion?
  • Is the Bible full of contradictions?
  • Does God send 4 billion people to hell?
  • Is it really true that no one talks about these things?

Join Frank and he responds to these issues raised by Marty Sampsons, the Hillsong worship leader who says that his faith is now on “Incredibly shaky ground.” Frank also highlights some of the comments made about this by John Cooper, of the Christian rock band Skillet. Pray for Mr. Sampson. He says that he is familiar with the work of William Lane Craig, John Lennox, Ravi Zacharias, Michael Licona and Frank Turek. We pray he will get the answers he needs.

Frank also addressed a few of the questions you’ve sent in, including:

  • Why did God wait so long to stop the child sacrifice of the Canaanites?
  • How can you follow a God who promises eternal torture? (Does He actually promise that?)
  • Why did God give Adam and Eve access to the tree in the garden?

Is it arrogant to say you’re right? And many other questions.

So you think you’re right and everyone else is wrong! You’re arrogant!

Is that true? Frank answers many of the questions you’ve emailed to Hello@Crossexamined.org including:

  • Is love possible if atheism is true?
  • Unless you observe it directly, do you have to have faith to believe it?
  • Why pray when these shootings keep happening?
  • How can we love America when its founders were slave owners?
  • Why do we say the God of the Bible is the ground of morality?
  • Is once saved, always saved, true? What about those who fall away?
  • Did God create us, or did we create God?
  • Is it arrogant and pompous to say you’re right and others are wrong?

Pastor and author Joshua Harris recently announced that he has divorced his wife and left Christianity. He also has denounced Christian sexual morality. What can we learn from this? Here are some of the questions Frank addresses:

· What reasons did he give? Did he cite evidence that Christianity is false?
· By leaving Christianity hasn’t he adopted a new faith?
· By what standard does he support his new beliefs?
· Should we call out false teachers?
· According to the Apostle Paul and Thomas Aquinas, how does sexual immorality make us stupid and dismissive of those who disagree with us?
· Is this a choice between Christianity and the religion of sex?
· How is Mr. Harris being just as exclusionary as the Christians he now blames?

We need to pray for Mr. Harris and his family. But all of us have to make a choice: Are you going to trust your life and eternity to the sinless Jesus or the sinful culture?

  • Can science explain everything?
  • Is science an unstoppable force in human development?  Will it provide for all of our needs?
  • How can a scientist believe in God?
  • Are Christians committing the God of the Gaps fallacy when we say the universe, and certain designs in the universe, point to a being like God?
  • Is Christianity at odds with science or is atheism at odds with science?
  • Isn’t it irrational to believe in miracles and the supernatural?
  • What’s the best way to correct mistakes that people make about science and Christianity?

There’s nobody on the planet better at answering these questions than Dr. John Lennox of Oxford University. He joins Frank to share some wonderful illustrations and discuss his new book Can Science Explain Everything?

Don’t know who Dr. Lennox is?  Go to YouTube and search for his two debates with Richard Dawkins.  Dr. Lennox is the best blend of truth and grace out there!

Join Frank as he describes more than 50 important truths that his mentor, Dr. Norman Geisler, taught him over the years.  All of these insights— some of them were profound quips— will help you defend the faith and make you a better disciple. You better get ready to listen intently because there is more than one insight per minute!  Dr. Geisler wrote or co-wrote 129 books over his 86 years, and founded Southern Evangelical Seminary.  That’s still a great place to learn apologetics, philosophy and theology.  www.SES.edu

How many spiritual beings are there? How can we discern what comes from God and what comes from dark forces? How do we explain two Yahwehs in the Old Testament? If you get between a mama bear and her cubs, you’ll be in big trouble. Frank interviews Hillary Morgan Ferrer, who joined up with other mama bears, to show you how you can protect your cubs from the trouble generated by the false ideas that are celebrated in our culture. These include:

Self-Help Culture: the false belief that we are capable of fixing all of our own problems

Naturalism: the false assumption that natural laws alone govern order and complexity

Emotionalism: the irrational faith that our emotions can define objective truth and reality

Moral Relativism: the dissonance of accepting all beliefs as equally true

Progressive Christianity: omitting difficult theology in favor of a more politically correct version

Don’t miss Frank and Hillary’s discussion about the five words that our culture has redefined, confusing our children to the point that they are leaving Christianity and making other dangerous choices.

To get the full benefit of this podcast, you really need to get a copy of Mama Bear Apologetics. It’s a guidebook for parents and mentors who want to help kids gain critical thinking skills needed to reject cultural lies but may not know how to address every alternative viewpoint a child will face.

According to 180 CEOs, it is… at least the morality based on God’s Good nature. They claim that abortion bans go “against our values and [are] bad for business.” They claim abortion bans are a ban on “equality.”

What do they mean by equality?
What do they mean by bad?
What standard are they using to make such assertions?
Was banning slavery bad for business?
Are we supposed to base moral decisions on economic results?

Join Frank and as he unpacks this hot issue and shows why you shouldn’t be a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. He also addresses a difficult question from a listener about believing in a God who allows so much evil.

What is happening to our culture’s moral values? Is it really radical relativism: everyone gets to decide what is right in his own eyes? Join Frank to find out that there’s actually a new set of absolutes that our culture is adopting. And these new absolutes are often polar opposites of those grounded in God’s Good nature.

For example:

The old absolute is purity; the new absolute is promiscuity
The old absolute is humility; the new absolute is pride
The old absolute is truth; the new absolute is power
The old absolute is love; the new absolute is tolerance
The old absolute is religious freedom; the new absolute is sexual supremacy

And many others.

Frank blows the lid off the claim that only Christians or conservatives are trying to impose a moral position. Everyone is! The problem for the proponents of the new absolutes is that they have no objective standard to support their positions.

In the last segment, Frank answers questions about the universe coming from nothing, and how to reach apathetic people. Don’t be apathetic about this one. Please listen and share!
