Proverbs 18:17 says, β€œThe one who states his case first seems rightΒ until the other comes and examines him.” Β  Yet, there’s an expectation that you’re supposed to have an informed opinion on an event the second a story breaks.Β Β And if you don’t say something, you’ll be accused of not caring:Β  Silence is violence!Β  Silence is compliance!

Frank applies this insight to a question about the riots and then addresses questions related to:

  • Is there ever a justification for using violence against your government?
  • Are biblical prohibitions about homosexual behavior really about pedophilia?
  • How can we be sinless in heaven if we have free will? Β Won’t there be the potential for sin?
  • How can prayer work if God knows all things in advance?
  • IsΒ recreational marijuana biblical?
  • If God designed DNA, then why are there birth defects?

Are you happy or sad about current events? Β Don’t get too happy or sad because the things of this world are temporary. Β The state is temporary, but you are eternal. Solomon said that God has put eternity on our hearts. Β But unless we accept God’s gracious offer of Heaven, we will try to find substitutes for God in an attempt to satisfy our desire for immortality. Β  Join Frank as he welcomes Dr. Clay Jones to share findings from his new book,Β Immortal: Β How the Fear of Death Drives Us and What We Can Do About It.Β  Clay and Frank have an insightful conversation about many related issues, including philosophy, C.S. Lewis, why some Christians fear death, and whether or not true meaning can be found without God. If you want to send us a question for the show, please email us atΒ Hello@CrossExamined.org. Why was there a riot at the Capitol by Trump Supporters? Β Why have there been riots across America this year by Leftists? Β What are the roots of these riots?Β

Frank exposes the underlying problem in our country that has led to violence. Β There is plenty of blame to go around, including the church. There is no excuse for this violence but there are plenty of explanations. Along the way, he distinguishes between causes and conditions and what Christians should do to help our country.

If you want to deceive someone to believe a falsehood, dress up the falsehood to look beautiful or at least more attractive.Β  This deception occurs every day in our culture, and sometimes the church when people use language as a beautiful cover for sin. Β In this show, Frank looks at how people do this by using attractive wordsβ€” such as Love, tolerance, justice, equality, progressive, and the likeβ€” to make you feel better about doing something wrong. Β Listening might help you discern truth from deception and avoid sin and pain.

How many of the objections did you hear about Christianity strike at the heart of Christianity? In other words, if you couldn’t answer them would that mean that Christianity is false? Β Frank has discovered that the answer is no. Β  Christianity is still true even if such objections or questions remain unaddressed. Β In this show, Frank unpacks that point and C.S. Lewis’s maxim that Christianity, if true, is of Infinite Importance. Β Why? Because how you respond to the true meaning of Christmas will determine your eternity.

Why are people being canceled for recognizing clear biological facts? Β Why are all white people being declared racist regardless of their behavior? Β Why are people being ordered to repent for sins they never personally committed? Β Dr. Neil Shenvi explains that these and other shocking phenomena in our culture are the results of a growing view of the world called β€œCritical Theory.” Β He joins Frank to answer questions such as:Β

  • What is Critical Theory? Β
  • What does it get right, and what does it get wrong? Β
  • How does it line up with the Bible?
  • How does it oppose what Martin Luther King taught?Β
  • What are some signs that it is seeping into your church? Β Β
  • What questions should you ask people who believe it?Β
  • What practical steps should we take to improve race relations in America?Β

As you’ll see, Neil is very clear and concise about this growing movement in our culture. Β If you don’t care about this now, you will be made to care. Β See much more about this topic on Dr. Shenvi’s website: Β www.ShenviApologetics.com

Almost everyone is in love with love. But what is love and how does it relate to sex? Dr. Sean McDowell joins Frank to offer insights from his new book π˜Ύπ™π™–π™¨π™žπ™£π™œ π™‡π™€π™«π™š: π™Žπ™šπ™, π™‡π™€π™«π™š 𝙖𝙣𝙙 π™π™šπ™‘π™–π™©π™žπ™€π™£π™¨π™π™žπ™₯𝙨 π™žπ™£ 𝙖 π˜Ύπ™€π™£π™›π™ͺπ™¨π™šπ™™ 𝘾π™ͺ𝙑𝙩π™ͺπ™§π™š. Frank and Sean discuss everything from the purpose of life to the purpose of sex, as well as issues such as singleness, pornography, cohabitation, and transgenderism. These issues are overtaking our culture, and Christians must be able to understand them and help the people they impact. This podcast will help!

A popular meme says that reading the Bible is the fastest way to become an atheist! On the face of it, the Bible does seem to have some verses that are pro-slavery, pro-violence, anti-women, and anti-science. Leaving aside the fact that atheists have no objective moral standard by which to judge anything wrong, these verses do seem to present a problem for Christians. Young people see these memes and are cast into doubt. That’s why you need to get the excellent new book by pastor and seminary professor Dan Kimball called π‘―π’π’˜ (𝑡𝒐𝒕) 𝒕𝒐 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 π‘©π’Šπ’ƒπ’π’†: π‘΄π’‚π’Œπ’Šπ’π’ˆ 𝑺𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 π‘¨π’π’•π’Š-π‘Ύπ’π’Žπ’†π’, π‘¨π’π’•π’Š-π‘Ίπ’„π’Šπ’†π’π’„π’†, 𝑷𝒓𝒐-π‘½π’Šπ’π’π’†π’π’„π’†, 𝑷𝒓𝒐-π‘Ίπ’π’‚π’—π’†π’“π’š 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑢𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 π‘ͺπ’“π’‚π’›π’š-π‘Ίπ’π’–π’π’…π’Šπ’π’ˆ 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 π‘Ίπ’„π’“π’Šπ’‘π’•π’–π’“π’†. Dan clearly answers these charges and shows us how to properly interpret these passages. This is a MUST read/listen!

Unhappy?  It’s impossible to be happy unless you are thankful.  Frank uses the book of Romans and common sense to show why. Along the way, Frank addresses the politically incorrect passages in Romans 1 and asks questions to people who disagree with Paul and Jesus. Frank also addresses the following questions listeners have:

  1. Why isn’t Jeremiah 29:11 a promise to us?
  2. Does God condone concubines and polygamy?
  3. Does God speak to Christians directly?  Why doesn’t He speak to me?

For years, Γ©migrΓ©s from the former Soviet bloc have been telling New York Times best-selling author, Rod Dreher they see telltale signs of “soft” totalitarianism cropping up in America. In his new book, Live Not by Lies: A Manual for Christian Dissidents, Dreher amplifies the alarm sounded by these brave men. β€œAmerica is sleepwalking into soft totalitarianism. If we ignore the prophetic voices of those who survived Communism, we deserve what we get,” says Dreher.  We are walking into a trap, and the solution is much more than politics.

Mr. Dreher joins Frank to expose this encroaching problem and offer some solutions.  All Christians need to listen to this!  If you begin to live by lies now, you will not resist when you’re pressured to deny Christ.
