CIA Refund Policy
Application Fee
The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Tuition Refunds:
We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate our participants as much as possible. However, due to the nature of in-person training events, which involves securing seats and confirming arrangements with various suppliers for each attendee, we have established the following refund policy for tuition:
- Cancellation 30 Days or More Before the Event: If you cancel your attendance 30 days or more before the start date of the training, you will receive a full refund of the tuition paid.
- Cancellation 29 Days or Less Before the Event: No refund will be issued. The cost of your tuition will be converted to a tax-deductible donation, and you will be issued a receipt for the donation.
No refunds are possible if student leaves prior to end of session for any reason, including disciplinary action and medical emergencies.
Applying Tuition to Next Year’s Event:
In lieu of a refund, participants may choose to apply their tuition payment to the following year’s training event. Please note the following conditions:
- This option is only available for the immediate next year’s event. Tuition cannot be carried over for more than one year.
- If a participant chooses this option but does not attend the following year’s event, no refund will be issued, and the tuition payment will be forfeited.
How to Request a Refund or Apply Tuition to Next Year’s Event:
To request a refund or apply your tuition to next year’s event, please contact Diego, our Director of Operations, at diego@crossexamined.org. Refunds will be processed within 7 business days of receiving your request.
Special Circumstances:
In cases of emergency or extraordinary circumstances, please contact Diego, our Director of Operations, at diego@crossexamined.org. We will review these requests on a case-by-case basis and may provide refunds or credits at our discretion.
